This is the most comfortable outfit you can wear to work and still look polished. Let me tell you more.
Pants // I’m wearing a pair of pleated front trousers that are pull-on, and it doesn’t get more comfortable than pull-on. I love how well they drape. I mentioned in my previous post that I’m going to feature more outfits with pants, and this is definitely the most comfortable pair. They’re also a steal at only $55. The pale pink version of these pants are on sale for under $35.
Top // My top is the Didion Top from MM.LaFleur, which I own in three colors: white stripe (worn here), black (worn in this post) and linen (worn on Instagram here). I wear the Didion top a LOT. I love how it’s relaxed but still polished. It’s lined (aka not sheer) and it hangs beautifully. The white stripe and linen stay wrinkle free after an initial steam and there’s no steaming required at all for the black. If there’s one top to add to your wardrobe right now, this is it.
Pumps // As I get older, I have less and less tolerance for uncomfortable shoes. I love how stilettos look, don’t get me wrong, but I’m over being distracted by pain in my feet at work. I’ll save the fashion-over-function shoes for evening and events. So that leads me to the Cole Haan Shayla Pumps, which are cushioned with arch support and feel like your feet are protected by 360 deg of shock absorbent padding. There’s no pinching, no soreness in the balls of my feet, and they fit my size 5 feel very well without any fear of them slipping off. They also come with a non-slip rubber sole so you don’t have to get them resoled right away (cost savings right there). I feel like I’m describing ugly grandma shoes, but they’re actually super chic. I’m wearing the black suede and they also come in navy suede and grey flannel fabric. Get a pair and try for yourself.
Bag // Last but not least, my trusty Tory Burch Block T tote that Damon gave me for Christmas that I carry everywhere. I’ve used it almost every day for a year and it still looks great. Fits a laptop too.
